USA and China reach a “truce” on import taxes

President Trump and President Xi have agreed to immediately begin negotiations on multiple topics such as intellectual property protection, non-tariff barriers, cyber intrusions and cyber theft, services and agriculture.

US president agreed to keep the rate at 10% and not raise it to 25%, or at least for 90 days until the negotiating process is done and China agreed to buy goods from the US to reduce the Trade deficit.

Some categories such as smartwatches and connected speakers won’t be affected by tariff changes, as they were clear of the thread from the beginning.
Anyway, if you were not sure if you should buy due to new tariffs uncertainty, you can now relax, the threat of new tariffs is postponed.
