After Xiaomi, Vivo is the next company to display a prototype of a 5G smartphone. During a Xinhua News Agency media conference, Vivo had a NEX at its stand that apparently had the new Snapdragon 855 CPU inside as well as the 5G capabilities. Obviously, the phone was not for sale (yet). Instead, it was meant to prove that the company is working on 5G smartphones and are almost ready to release such devices on the market. Most probably we will see an abundant of 5G smartphones early next year at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Pricing and availability of such devices will probably be revealed there as well. Let’s just hope that they won’t be too expensive.
