It looks like the Umidigi F1 is starting to drop in price. When it was released it had a price tag of $220 and a special promotion for those that pre-ordered the device. Just a few weeks after that it seems that the device will permanently drop to $199.99, which is not a bad price considering the specs of the phone. Don’t expect a flagship device at this price range, but if the Umidigi Z2 Pro is any indication of what this device can do, it is worth the money.
The Umidigi F1 has almost the same specs as the Z2 Pro (who’s review can be found here). You get a Mediatek Helio P60 CPU, 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Those are good mid-range components that should handle all basic tasks without any problems. You also get a dual-camera setup on the back of the device consisting of a 16MP main sensor and a secondary 8MP one. On the front, the Umidigi F1 has a 16MP camera that is placed inside a waterdrop notch. This is one aspect that is different compared to the Z2 Pro and I am happy that the big notch is gone.
The 6.3″ IPS screen has a FullHD+ resolution and a 92.7 screen-to-body ratio. Connectivity wise you get Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, dual 4G SIM slots and wireless charging. The Umidigi F1 also has a bigger battery compared to the Z2 Pro, measuring 5150mAh. This is great news since the Z2 Pro had mediocre battery life. Also, stock Android 9 is installed on smartphone. For $199 you get a decent phone that should handle everything nicely…maybe except nigh-time photography. Buy the Umidigi F1 Pro for just $199 at this online store.
