Lenovo was among the first smartphone manufacturers to announce a device with the new Snapdragon 855 CPU and ti also looks like it is among the first devices you will be able to own that has this chipset. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT is currently available for order (in stock) and the price is not bad at all: $576 and $726 respectively, depending on the version you choose.
The device itself is quite interesting. It has a screen that covers almost the entire front of the device and no notch at all. Lenovo went with the slider mechanism, similar to the Xiaomi MI Mix 3, and managed to create a very elegant smartphone. This time, with good looks you will also get good performance. As I said, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has the latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 chipset and it is paired with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. You get 128GB or 256GB of internal storage and all the sensor you can expect: Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, etc. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT also has an in-display fingerprint reader. This also means that the 6.39″ screen is AMOLED.
Camera wise, the device comes with a dual sensor configuration on both sides. On the back, there is a 24MP + 16MP camera and on the front, under the slider, a 16MP + 8MP sensor. I know that we are not getting the 48MP sensor that the Xiaomi Mi 9 has, but it still should be a good device for photography, if Lenovo managed to get the software right. Speaking of software, The Z5 Pro GT runs Android 9 out of the box and the company added their ZUI10 skin on top.
