Cubot revealed a new smartphone this week and they decided to offer an interesting design for the screen. There is still a notch, but it is placed on the side, making a cut-out in the screen’s corner. According to them, this is more natural and offers less interruption in the content. Sadly, the 6.8″ screen is only HD+, having a resolution of just 1352x640px. Still, for a low to mid-range device, it is OK.
Other specs for the Cubot are pretty decent. We have the Helio P22 CPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Cubot Max 2 also comes with a big, 5000mAh battery, that should be last 3 days without any problems. On the back, the smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup consisting of a 12MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. The selfie camera has an 8MP sensor. The smartphone has the traditional connectivity options: dual-4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C connector. A fingerprint reader is also present on the back of the device. It comes with Android 9.0 out of the box and keeping my fingers crossed for updates, something that many B-Brand smartphone manufacturers fail to provide.
