Seems like Umidigi is at it again and launched another smartphone. This one is called the Umidigi Power because, apparently, it focuses on battery life by having a big battery and a lower power CPU. These claims, however, seem to be mostly marketing because the battery has a capacity of 5150mAh, just like the Umidigi F1 Play. Still, the phone should last longer because the Power has the Helio P35, a lower-power CPU.
Still, the Umidigi Power has some decent specs. The Helio P35 chip is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a 6.3″ FullHD+ screen with a waterdrop notch and a design very similar to the F1 line-up. You won’t be judged if, at first glance, you don’t see any differences. On the back, the Umidigi Power comes with a 16MP+5MP camera and the front notch holds a 16MP selfie camera. Not the 48MP sensor from the F1 Play, but this should also cost less than that.
From a connectivity point, the Umidigi Power has it all. You will get dual 4G SIM slots, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, a fingerprint reader on the back and even NFC that supports payment. Good to see that they did not compromise here. Also, the 5150mAh battery supports quick-charge with up to 18W power draw. Android Pie with no skin on top is pre-installed, but, judging by past experience, it won’t get any updates. Pricing was not revealed but, considering that the F1 Play is about $200, I expect this one to be around $170-$180.
