We know for quite a while that Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, will launch a flagship device this year, but details are still pretty sparse. We know for sure that the device will feature the new Snapdragon 855 chipset and will be launched at a very competitive price. Rumors also mention 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, but a version with 6GB may also be released. Today, however, the company posted a video on their Weibo page where the upcoming smartphone, named Redmi X, is slightly visible.
In the video, multiple smartphones launched by the company this year are presented alongside sequences from the Avengers: Endgame movie. We can see the Redmi Note 7 and the Note 7 Pro there. The short clip ends with a siluet of an unknown device and a pop-up camera slides out from the top revealing a selfie camera. Not much else is revealed, but judging from this we can guarantee that the Redmi X won’t have a notch and will come with an edge-to-edge screen.
