Meizu is hosting a mid-year sale currently on Aliexpress and they have quite a few interesting offers. The one that I am sure will attract many viewers is the Meizu Note 9, a smartphone that rivals the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 on all aspects. It comes with a very good camera, good mid-range specs and a price that is really hard to beat. Not many manufacturers have a device that ticks so many boxes and has such a good price-to-specs ratio. Let’s take a look at it.
The Meizu Note 9 comes with the mid-range Snapdragon 675 CPU and 4GB of RAM. There are two versions available, with 64GB of internal storage or 128GB of internal storage. The 6.2″ LCD screen has a waterdrop notch on the front for the 20MP front-facing camera and quite slim bezels. There is a chin on the bottom of the device, but it is on par with other similarly priced smartphones. On the back, you will find a 48MP + 5MP camera setup as well as the fingerprint reader. It comes with a 4000mAh battery that supports quick charge via the USB Type-C connector. Android 9 with Meizu’s FlymeOS skin comes pre-installed on the Meizu Note 9 and I am happy to say that this is the official global version that has access to Google Play Store and Google Services.
The octa-core CPU paired with the 4GB of RAM present on the Meizu Note 9 should be more than enough for most people. Furthermore, this device has a slightly better GPU than the Redmi Note 7 and Meizu promises better cooling as well. It also comes with a “Hyper Gaming” software mod that increases gaming performance by up to 35%. All in all, a really good device, especially considering the price. If you are interested, you can get the 4GB+64GB version for $168 or the 4GB+128GB version for $185.
