Even though most restrictions on Huawei have been lifted, the company is not ending development on their HongmengOS. People are still working on making this new operating system a reality (and a big hit) and the company still talks about it and how better it will be compared to the alternatives that are currently on the market. We know that Huawei is teasing faster performance than Android, but now we find out that it will have broader applications as well.
According to Huawei’s CEO Ren Zhengfei, who had an interview in the French magazine Le Point, the operating system will work on smartphones, PCs, routers, network switches, and even data centers. This a big range of devices with different needs and resources available for processing. He also stated that it will have less than 5ms processing delay and will be faster and more efficient than MacOS. Now, keep in mind that we don’t have any proof yet of these claims. It can all be just marketing so take it with a big grain of salt, but hopefully, it is as good as they claim. We will just have to wait and see and, with a bit of luck, the waiting time is not that long.
