The Xiaomi Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e are interesting devices with a good price to performance ratio, especially if you focus on photography and selfies. They are aimed at teens, with a chic design and colors that make it pop-up. They are for people that want to stand out from the crowd. Sadly, so far the devices are only available in China, but, if you know where to look, you can get them overseas as well. You will have to pay a premium and the devices don’t run an official global ROM, but that has not stopped us before.
I won’t get into too many details, but I will list here the main specs. For more details do read the dedicated article. The Xiaomi CC9 comes with the Snapdragon 710 CPU, 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of internal storage. It has 6.39″ FullHD+ AMOLED screen with a waterdrop notch and an in-display fingerprint reader. The main selling point is the camera setup. On the back, there is a 48MP+8MP+2MP camera and on the front, you will find a 32MP selfie camera. There is also a special Xiaomi CC9 Meitu Edition that has 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and improved photography.
The Xiaomi Mi CC9e has a smaller 6.088″ AMOLED screen with the same waterdrop notch and in-display fingerprint reader, but the resolution was lowered to HD+. The CPU is also slightly less powerful, featuring the Snapdragon 665. On photography though, the phone is identical to its bigger brother: 48MP+8MP+2MP on the back and 32MP on the front. There is no Meitu edition here, but the prices are lower.
