With the release of the new Snapdragon 855 Plus, all game-centric smartphone divisions started to flood the market with news that they will have devices featuring this new chipset. The first was the ASUS ROG Phone 2, but both Nubia and Black Shark followed with their own announcements. Today we have a release date for the upcoming Black Shark 2 Pro gaming smartphone, a device that will include the new SD855+ and other minor improvements.
We don’t know exactly what other changes the new Black Shark 2 will suffer but don’t expect a huge change. This will most probably be an incremental upgrade that would not have happened if it wasn’t for the new chipset. It will probably keep the design and most internals as they are on the original. We don’t have to wait too long for the official announcement. Today the company posted on their Weibo account that the Black Shark 2 Pro will be released on the 3rd of August in China. International markets will soon follow as well, but no release date so far.
