People are starting to get used to smartphones having a 48MP camera. Most smartphones released in the past month that ware over $200 had a main camera with a 48MP sensor. But Realme is already prepared to go a step further by releasing a smartphone with a 64MP camera. We don’t know if this will be a mid-range device and a competitor for the Redmi Note 7 or if it will be a high-end smartphone that will be capable to handle any task you can throw at it. We won’t have to wait long until everything is revealed since the company has prepared a press conference on the 8th in New Delhi.
In the teaser/invitation that was posted by Ice Universe on Twitter, we can see a bit of of the back of the device and we can clearly see 4 cameras with the text “64MP” under the first one, a clear hint on what to expect. It is almost certain that the phone will have the new Samsung GW1 sensor, but nothing else was revealed. Other smartphone manufacturers are also working on devices with such a high pixel count camera, including Xiaomi/Redmi, but it seems that Realme will be the first to have something on the market.
