Oukitel, a B-brand smartphone manufacturer that we wrote multiple times of, just announced a new entry-level smartphone: the Oukitel C17 Pro. Even though the specs are not very impressive, it does come with a punch-hole display for the front-facing camera, a triple camera setup on the back and an attractive price. The device will be sold for just $139.99 but Oukitel promises a sale event in the near future when the price can go as low as $99.99.
Before you get too excited, let’s look over the specs. The Oukitel C17 Pro comes with a Helio P23 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The chipset is a bit old, but it is more than capable of handling web prosing, video playback, email, and even most games. For many people, this device should be more than enough and a good buy considering the price. It has a 6.35″ screen with HD+ resolution (720*1560) and no notch. It does, however, have a punch-hole in the upper left corner for the 5MP front-facing camera. And, with the exception of the bottom chin, the bezels are quite small.
On back you will find a triple-camera setup that consists of a 13MP+5MP+2MP (main, wide-angle, depth-sensing)sensor array that should be able to take decent photos. The Oukitel C17 Pro also comes with a fingerprint reader on the back and an LED flash. The phone comes with dual-4G connectivity, a microSD card slot (if you are willing to lose the 2nd SIM slot), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It is powered by a 3900mAh battery and runs Android 9 out of the box. I don’t expect it to get any major updates, but at this price, you can’t really complain.
The phone is available for pre-order now at Oukitel’s official Aliexpress store right now for $139, but I do suggest you wait until the company kicks-off their flash sale in a few days when the phone will be available for as low as $99.99. Really cheap phones are starting to become more than decent.
