Realme 5 will have quad-camera setup on the back, 64MP main sensor

Today was all about smartphone cameras. Xiaomi held a conference where it teased their 64MP smartphone and an upcoming 108MP camera sensor. In order to try and steal the spotlight a bit, Realme’s CEO teased on Twitter their next Realme 5 smartphone that will be revealed tomorrow. It will be the first smartphone with a 64MP camera launched and the company is promising flag-ship level photos. So far the full design and specs were not revealed, but everything will be unveiled tomorrow.

The picture of the phone uploaded on social media showed the device from the back and it was in a protective case, but the 4 camera setup on the back is clearly visible. Three colors could also be seen in the small gaps between the case and the phone: white, light blue and dark blue. Other colors may also be available on release. Furthermore, there is no cutout for a fingerprint reader in the case. This could be an indication that Realme 5 will come with an in-display fingerprint reader. If priced correctly, it may be a good competitor for the Redmi K20/Xiaomi Mi 9t.
