In a series of posts on Weibo, Redmi confirms a few key aspects of the camera setup for the upcoming Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones. According to the teasers, the phones will come with a quad-camera setup on the back with the main sensor having 64MP. This was known or speculated for quite a while, but Redmi teased a few more things that were unknown until now. The pixel count for the other two cameras or the type of lens are unknown for now, but the company is teasing an interesting feature.
According to one of their posts, the new phones will be capable of 25x zoom, even though it is probably digital zoom. Still, at such a big pixel count, the final image should still retain a lot of details. On the back there will also be a fingerprint reader and a dual-LED flash. More details on the 29th when the phone will be officially released.
