OnePlus held a press conference today and they officially revealed a new smartphone, the OnePlus 7T. People were expecting the 7T Pro to also be launched today, but this was not the case. Still, a new smartphone from OnePlus is worth writing about. The OnePlus 7T offers ome minor, but needed upgrades compared to the OP7 launched not too long ago. With this new device, OnePlus now has 4 smartphones on sale, starting with the older 6T from last year, however, not all devices are available in all regions.
The 7T that was launched today build on top of the 7 from a few months ago. It comes with the updated Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset and it is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS3.0 memory. The biggest and most loved change is the display. The company included a 90Hz high-refresh-rate Fluid AMOLED screen that is almost identical to the one present on the OnePlus 7 Pro. This phone still has an under-display fingerprint reader and a waterdrop notch on top, just like the 7.
Cameras also suffered a few changes. The configuration was updated and it includes a 48MP main sensor, a 12MP camera with a telephoto lens and a 16MP ultrawide angle camera. The front-facing camera remains at 16MP and can still only capture video at FullHD resolution. There are no other major changes when it comes to hardware, but the phone does have a slightly different design, especially on the back where the cameras are present. The OnePlus 7T will be available in either Glacier Blue or Frosted Silver colors starting next month for $599, however, at least for now, Europe is excluded.
