Nubia Red Magic 3S gaming smartphone launches worldwide tomorrow

Nubia has launched the Red Magic 3S, their updated gaming smartphone with the newer Snapdragon 855+ chipset, in China for a few good weeks and now it is time for the device to finally reach the rest of the world. Tomorrow the company will open pre-orders for the Red Magic 3S in Europe and in North America. We don’t have a price yet, but we will update this article once sales start and maybe we will even get a discount code for you.

The Red Magic 3S is very similar to the previously launched phone. The outer design is almost identical, except for new color variations. The internals haven’t suffered any major changes either. You still get the same 90Hz AMOLED screen with a 6.65″ diagonal and 2340×1080 pixels resolution. There will be two variants with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 126GB or 256GB UFS3.0 of internal storage. Like I mentioned earlier, the phone is powered by the newer Snapdragon 855+ chipset. And yes, you still get the active cooling system that includes a speening fan inside.

Photography wise, the Red Magic 3S is identical to the normal Red Magic 3. On the back you will find a 48MP main camera as well as the fingerprint reader. The selfie camera on the front has a 16MP sensor. Even though the camera configuration is decent, it is far away compared to what other devices have to offer, even mid-range ones. It is safe to say that you won’t be getting this phone for photos, but for the raw power it has to offer and the capacity to remain cool even under intense workloads.

Considering that the internals are almost identical to the previous device launched, we don’t expect the Red magic 3S to have a different price than that one had at release. Still, we will update this article once we get a hold on the price. In the meantime, you can check all the specs and promotional images on their official website.
