Umidigi will start pre-orders for the Umidigi F2 in just a few days, on the 14th of October, and the company really managed to catch our attention with this device. Not only does it come with really good specs, but they will also sell it for just $179.99 until the 16th. At this price, the Umidigi F2 is a device that is worth considering and makes a good alternative for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8.
The Umidigi F2 comes with Mediatek Helio P70 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You may not get a Snapdragon CPU, but the Helio P70 is quite potent and you will get more RAM and storage compared to the Redmi Note 8. The FullHD+ screen has a punch-hole display which holds the 32MP selfie camera. The phone has slim bezels and an elegant design with a clean back cover and nice gradient.
The Umidigi F2 focuses on photography. On the back you will get a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5MP macro camera and another 5MP depth-sensing camera. If they manage to get the software right, the phone should be capable of realizing really good photos. And thanks to the 32MP front-facing camera, your selfie-game should be really strong.
But things don’t stop here. Umidigi really wanted to make a good device and managed to incorporate many cool features in the F2. It has a dual-SIM slot and a microSD card slot, USB Type-C which supports 18W fast charging, NFC which can also be used for payments and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It also runs stock Android 10 out of the box and Google Assistant can be accessed directly from the lock screen, something rarely found on mid-range devices. Honestly, it can be really hard to find a more well-balanced device at this price.
