Realme is set on conquering the European smartphone market. Even though the EU offers many opportunities for smartphone manufacturers, Chinese brands so far failed to make a dent in sales here, with the exception of Huawei. Here, Samsung and Apple rain supreme and Xiaomi just recently managing to reach approximately 6% by offering really good budget smartphones like the Redmi Note 7 and 8 or the Mi 9T series. Now, Realme wants a piece of this cake and they are going big with a true flagship-killer that will surely put pressure on Xiaomi and others.
Just by looking at the specs and price we can clearly see that the Realme X2 Pro is a great contender for the Mi 9T Pro. It comes with the Snapdragon 855+ chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.0 internal storage. Treats don’t end here. The phone also comes with a 90Hz AMOLED screen with 2400×1080 resolution which has a waterdrop notch on top and HDR10+ certification. Similar to gaming phones, it also has a vapor chamber cooling system that promises to keep the device cool even under heavy loads.
The Realme X2 Pro promises to take great shots thanks to the 64MP main camera on the back. There is also a 13MP telephoto lens camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP portrait camera. All four together promise to satisfy all photography needs and the phone even has a 20x hybrid-zoom (5x optical zoom) and super nightscape. On the front you will find a 16MP selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint reader. You will also get a full range of connectivity options, including dual-4G SIM slots, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS and even NFC and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery with support for SuperVOOC charging up to 50W.
Honestly, I can’t see anything major missing from this phone, especially when you consider the price. Most manufacuteres would charge at least 600 euros for something like this, but Realme will be offering the base model (6GB+64GB) for just €399. A bit more expensive, at €449, is the mid-tier version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while the top one, that has a stunning 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, will set you back just €50 more.
