Banggood has started pre-sales for the Umidigi A3x, a low-budget smartphone that managed to spark our interest because of a really good price to performance ratio. Now, don’t expect high-performance gaming or 4k video recording, but for a secondary device or for someone that only does web browsing, emails and social networks, the Umidigi A3x may be a really good smartphone. It also runs the latest version of Android (Android 10), which is a cool bonus at just $80.
The Umidigi A3x comes with a quad-core Mediatek A22 chipset which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Like I said, low-end specifications, but most smartphones under $100 have inferior specs. Just look at the Redmi Go, a smartphone with inferior specifications that is being sold for around the same price. The Umidigi A3x also has decent photography skills, with a 16MP+5MP camera on the back and 13MP selfie camera on the front.
The design is a bit outdated for 2020, with a big notch on top. Still, the 5.7″ screen with HD+ resolution should satisfy the needs of many people. Other interesting features include dual 4G SIM slot and third microSD card slot that can accept cards up to 256GB, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and a 3300mAh battery. Sadly you will get the older micro-USB connector, but you can’t really complain at this price. It runs Android 10 and you get the traditional features, like GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If you are looking for a low-end smartphone, I strongly recommend you look into the Umidigi A3x, but hurry up, since the price will rise by 10$ 300 pre-orders, until the $99.99 price is reached.
