Today Realme launched a new smartphone for in India that is very impressive from a price to performance perspective. The Realme C3 starts at just $100 and comes with a game-centric chipset, making it the most powerful device currently on the market in this price range. Realme even calls it a gaming smartphone, and we kinda have to agree with them here.
Yes, the Realme C3 is not a flagship device by any means, but it is a powerful device, especially considering the price it is being sold. The smartphone comes with the new Helio G70, a mid-rance CPU just recently launched by Mediatek that promises really good performance in games. It is part of the G-series gaming chipsets from the company and so far these got really good reviews. There are two versions, with either 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, or 4GB of RAM and double the storage. Both versions support a microSD card up to 256GB.
The screen is a bit of a disappointment, having only HD+ resolution (1600x720px), but we can’t really ask for much at this price. Realme also had to make some other compromises in order to get the price so low without sacrificing too much performance. You don’t get a fingerprint reader and it uses the old micro-USB connector to charge the 5000mAh battery. On the bright side, the phones has dual-4G SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.
The cameras are also unimpressive, with a dual 12MP+2MP setup on the back and a single 5MP selfie camera present in a waterdrop notch on the front. The Realme C3 will be sold starting with the 14th of February in India via Flipkart for 6999 rupees for the 3GB+32GB version and 7999 rupees for the 4GB+64GB version.
