Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone division is hard at work on their next smartphone, the Black Shark 3. If we are to believe certain leaks and 3C listing, the device is close to launch and will pack very powerful hardware. The Black Shark 2 and Black Shark 2 Pro were really good devices, but they quickly got surpassed by others in both benchmarks and features, and Xiaomi wants to make sure that this won’t happen again.
The 3C listing shows 3 smartphones, SHARK MBU-A0 and SHARK KLE-A0, which may suggest that now we will see both the Black Shark 3 and the Black Shark 3 Pro launch at the same time. For now, we don’t know any key specifications, but it is safe to assume that the phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 CPU and have at least 8GB of RAM. The listing also mentions 65W fast charging and 5G connectivity. Some rumors also suggest that the phone will have an AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. This will be a big selling point, especially since Black Shark failed to provide a 90Hz screen on the Black Shark 2 and 2 Pro, even when others managed to do this. If the rumors are true, Black Shark learned from their past mistakes and will launch an interesting smartphone in the near future.
