Xiaomi is preparing to launch their next gaming smartphone, the Black Shark 3. We just wrote about the device receiving 3C certification in China and today the company officially announced the release date on Weibo. This is the launch date for the Chinese version and we don’t have any information related to the global launch, but it should be right around the corner as well.
No words on the specs, but we expect the phone to come with the latest Snapdragon 865 CPU, up to 16GB of RAM and will have a high refresh rate AMOLED screen. Some rumors mention a 120Hz refresh rate, but for now we can’t confirm it. Other specs include a big battery with 65W fast charging and 5G connectivity. I would also love to see NFC this time, a feature that was missing from previous models as well as better software support (the global versions of Black Shark 2 and Black Shark 2 Pro are still missing the JoyUI 11 update, even though the Chinese version has it for more than a month).
