We know for a few weeks that Red Magic (Nubia’s gaming smartphone division) is close to releasing the Red Magic 5G, their latest gaming smartphone. Today, we are officially entering the final 100m with the official social accounts releasing their first teaser (seen above). We know quite a few things about the Red Magic 5G, and today we have an estimated release date: 19th of March.
That is right, The Red Magic 5G will launch in the second half of the month. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 CPU and some rumors state that it will have up to 16GB of RAM. From earlier we already know that it can handle 120fps gaming in many high-end games and that it will have a 120Hz refresh rate screen. The design also sees many changes compared to last year’s models and the cameras have big improvements. The active cooling, something that so far only Red Magic phones have, is still present. On top of that, this is the first phone from the company to come with 5G connectivity. If there was any doubt that 2020 is the year that 5G takes off, just look at the number of smartphones launched in the past couple of months with 5G on board. Now, let’s see how it compares to the newly-launched Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro.
