Not too long ago we wrote that Black Shark is hoping to release the JoyUI 11 update for the Black Shark 2 and 2 Pro by the end of the month and it looks like they may actually honor this, even though it might be just for beta testers. In a post on their social media accounts, the company has announced that they are looking for beta testers for JoyUI 11. People that own the Black shark 2 or the Black Shark 2 Pro can register to receive the update.
There isn’t an official registration form. Instead, you have to leave a comment on their Facebook announcement post with the phone that you have, the software version that you are currently running as well as a few words as to why you want to be part of the beta program. A few people will be selected and they will be getting the new software pushed via OTA. There is no word as to when the beta program will end, so we don’t know if the final version will indeed hit phones this March, but most probably it will take at least a month to solve all the reported problems. Also, keep in mind that since this is a beta, the OS may have bugs so don’t join unless you know what you are doing and can leave with an unpolished OS for a few weeks.
A similar approach was done in China when JoyUI 11 was released. A beta program was first started that lasted almost two months and only after that the final version was pushed. The new JoyUI 11 is based on Android 11 and MIUI 11 and comes with many great features borrowed from MIUI. Obviously, we registered and hope to get selected so we can show you everything tha t has changed as fast as possible.
