Xiaomi is close to launching a new smartphone in Mi 10 family, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition. This device will have higher mid-range specifications, competent camera setup and an attractive price tag as well as 5G connectivity. Not all details are known, but the teasers posted by Xiaomi on their Weibo account does offer us a glimpse at the new smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset and will come with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB to 256GB of internal storage. According to Ishan Agarwal’s Twitter accountIshan Agarwal’s Twitter account, the phone will start at 2299 Yuan (~$325) for the base model and will go up to 2999 Yuan (~$424) for the 8GB+256GB version. Most other specifications, including the design, are identical to the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite. So we can expect a 6.57″ FullHD AMOLED display, a waterdrop notch and 5G connectivity.
Full specifications for the camera setup are unknown, but Xiaomi teases up to 50x hybrid zoom support and a quad-camera configuration. The Mi 10 Youth Edition will probably have a 48MP main sensor and may come with an 8MP telephoto-lens camera, but this remains to be seen. The phone will be revealed on the 27th, so we don’t have to wait too much until all details are known. It is also rumored that this will be the first phone to come with MIUI 12 out of the box.
